I bring my professional and operational experience in accounting, business, and law to help clients solve financial and legal challenges.

With a rare blend of accounting, tax, and legal expertise, Tim brings four decades of experience to the complex situations business owners and families face.

Tim’s grasp of the financial and legal worlds allows him to add meaningful value to the gray areas where tax and legal issues intersect.

In addition to his work on estate and trust planning, Tim works with owners of closely held and family businesses to design structures for smooth and tax-efficient business transitions to the next generation. Having run a successful law firm for 25 years, Tim knows firsthand the pressures and perspectives of business owners and brings that insight to every engagement.

He supports families during some of their most vulnerable moments, guiding them through probate and trust administration with compassion and clarity, offering solutions to get everyone on the same page. He takes pride in helping surviving spouses and family members navigate the complexities of the estate administration process, doing so with care and understanding.

Tim advises public and private foundations and charitable-minded individuals on planned giving strategies. He partners with nonprofit organizations and universities to help them maximize the impact of their philanthropic efforts.

Before joining Socius, Tim headed Amicus Law Group for 25 years. He has been in private practice since 1985, beginning his career as a tax advisor at the public accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche.
