An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I help to protect businesses from risk by looking far into their future to spot potential red flags and avoid issues down the road.
For more than 20 years, Teresa has guided both established and emerging companies through business transactions and securities law matters. She brings a well-rounded perspective having worked at global law firms and with in-house legal departments.
Clients benefit from Teresa’s wisdom and solid business instincts. When they seek her advice and solutions, she truly listens to their goals and creates real, bottom-line value for their business. As someone who writes contracts every day, she emphasizes the importance of clear language in business agreements.
Teresa enjoys working with manufacturers and innovative tech companies through various stages of growth and transition. She helps business owners, investors, entrepreneurs and startups, including spin-outs from universities, set up for success.
Her clients include developers of hardware and software, medical devices, energy technologies and patented chemical inventions. She is also passionate about helping nonprofits, professional practices, and real estate owners and developers through challenges and new opportunities.
Prior to law school, Teresa was a corporate and securities paralegal for 15+ years at Perkins Coie, Attachmate Corporation and Univar Inc. She knew she wanted to work on business deals and decided to become a lawyer. Following law school, she worked at two international law firms in Seattle and ran her own firm for more than five years before joining Socius Law.
