JASON L. BERGEVIN

206.838.9130   |   jbergevin@sociuslaw.com

Having grown up in a small town in Alaska, I understand the value of relationships. While we may meet in the context of a dispute, my goal is to help you resolve that dispute and then work with you long-term to minimize the risk going forward.

Jason represents a wide variety of clients in Washington and Alaska, from individuals and small family-owned businesses to large companies. He counsels clients to put them in the best position to succeed and to minimize exposure to potential claims in the first place. If litigation is necessary, Jason enjoys diving into the details of a case. He works diligently to key hidden facts and solves the puzzle to figure out the best resolution for clients.

As businesses grow and change, so do their legal needs. Jason brings 20+ years of experience and a forthright and pragmatic approach that his clients appreciate. Clients bring Jason in as outside general counsel to advise them on various matters.

Jason’s transactional work includes reviewing and drafting contracts, employment agreements, non-compete agreements, and employee handbooks. His litigation experience allows him to then help to manage any disputes that arise, including disputes between business partners and between businesses and their clients.

Jason has represented every party in a construction dispute, from the owners, developers, and the design team to the contractors and subcontractors. With this extensive background serving the construction and design industry, he understands the nuances of the construction business and is experienced in all facets of construction litigation and casualty claims. He drafts and reviews construction contracts to help clients avoid problems and negotiates other contracts related to development. Having been on all sides of the table, Jason offers a valuable perspective to his clients as he helps them navigate the process. He understands what is important to all the parties involved and how best to prevent and address conflicts.
