Ruth Ann has served as a paralegal in Seattle for over 30 years, primarily working on trust administration, estate planning, and probate matters. 

Involved from the get-go, Ruth Ann coordinates closely with clients and attorneys to understand a family’s goals, outline the scope of work and issues, and ensure that everyone is aligned. Clients appreciate her ability to listen with empathy, ask the right questions, and manage details through her diligence.

 

Ruth Ann enjoys working with numbers. She builds an inventory of assets for an estate, identifies assets that require valuation, and obtains supporting records and appraisals where needed. With oversight of the process, she facilitates communication with various parties, including a client’s CPA. She is also involved in the closing and funding of the trust, as well as in the distribution and transfer of trust assets.

 

Before her career as a paralegal in Seattle, Ruth Ann worked as a legal assistant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a prominent family law firm led by Maynard I. Ungerman.
