I help clients navigate complex litigation to achieve the best possible outcome. With over a decade of experience, I use strategic insights to help clients create compliant policies and thriving workplaces.
As a trial lawyer with more than a decade of courtroom and counseling experience, Chris provides valuable insights to help clients resolve disputes efficiently or avoid litigation altogether through practical, forward‑looking advice.
With a practice focused on labor and employment and business litigation, Chris has tried cases and won jury verdicts in state and federal courts and has prevailed in arbitration and administrative forums. He has a 360‑degree view of how disputes arise and how to prevent them because he has worked on both the plaintiff and defense sides of labor and employment matters. He represents employers in class actions and in disputes involving wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, trade secret, and noncompete claims.
Chris focuses on class action defense, including wage and hour and data breach matters. Chris guides clients through the process, helping them understand the issues at stake and make decisions that protect both the business and its people. Clients value his ability to outline their options and recommend the path that aligns with their business goals, risk tolerance, and workplace culture.
He believes every dispute is an opportunity to strengthen systems, policies, and practices. His advice always considers the human impact and how decisions will resonate with employees to support a healthy, thriving workplace. Even in the most complicated situations, Chris makes the issues intelligible while helping clients learn and improve along the way.
Beyond litigation, Chris serves as a trusted advisor on the full spectrum of workplace issues, including:
-
pay equity and transparency laws
-
leave laws
-
workplace safety requirements
-
wage and hour compliance, including pay, rest breaks, travel and overtime calculations
-
disability accommodation strategies tailored to each business
-
responding to agency charges
-
revising handbooks and policies
-
advising executives on employment agreements, incentive structures and severance
-
day‑to‑day issues that arise in dynamic workplaces
-
data security and data breach litigation
-
navigating the “gray areas” of workplace dynamics where legal, business, and human considerations intersect
Chris also advises clients on traditional labor matters, including union relationships, union‑avoidance campaigns, picketing issues, dual‑gate systems, and labor arbitrations involving collective bargaining agreements.
In addition, he has developed a niche advising trucking companies on regulatory compliance, litigation, and entity formation, bringing a practical understanding of the industry’s operational realities.
Before entering private practice, Chris served as a law clerk for the Alaska Supreme Court, which helped shape his analytical rigor and courtroom instincts.
