Legal Experience
Susan has a matrimonial law practice with an emphasis on marital dissolutions involving complex property issues. As part of this practice she handles child support modifications, parenting plan modifications, step-parent adoptions and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. Her clients include owners of closely-held businesses and their spouses; lawyers, accountants, doctors and other owners of professional services firms; and employees and employee spouses holding stock options from publicly-held companies. She also has experience doing business and real estate litigation.

Susan is a member of King County Collaborative Law, a non-profit association of lawyers and allied professionals who promote resolving legal conflicts through the use of a protocol that utilizes respectful communication and negotiation. In appropriate cases, this model may produce superior results that are in the best interests of clients.

Susan was named a Rising Star four years in a row by Washington Law & Politics Magazine, a designation reserved for 2.5 percent of all lawyers in Washington State.

Personal
Susan and her husband and daughter live in West Seattle. They enjoy travel and outdoor activities, including hikes with their dog.
