Legal Experience
Lori's work focuses on marital dissolutions involving complex financial issues or large estates.
She has handled numerous divorce cases involving the valuation of closely held businesses, professional practices, stock options and similar
assets. Lori also serves as a mediator and as collaborative law counsel for clients desiring these alternative dispute resolution processes
for divorce and divorce-related matters.
Practicing since 1986, Lori has extensive experience representing clients ranging from individuals to publicly traded companies in a
variety of litigation matters outside of matrimonial law. Her experience includes mediations, arbitrations, bench and jury trials,
as well as state and federal appeals. She has practiced in state and federal courts in Alaska and Oregon. This diverse background is
an asset that benefits Lori's matrimonial law clients, particularly in cases involving complex assets.
Lori has been named repeatedly as a Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics Magazine, a designation reserved for fewer than five
percent of all lawyers in Washington State. Lori has also been listed among the top 50 female lawyers and the top 25 family law lawyers,
the highest designations given to those who received the greatest point total in the magazine's Washington Super Lawyers balloting,
research and blue ribbon review process.
Personal
A native of Chicago, Lori and her family live in West Seattle. When not busy with her son's activities,
she enjoys spending time at Alki Beach and in Whistler, B.C. After completing a marathon Lori retired her running shoes and spends
whatever time she can practicing yoga and hiking locally.
