Legal Experience
Matt's practice focuses on all aspects of estate planning. Most of his clients are associated with the technology industries,
real estate investments, or closely held businesses. From simple wills to complex trusts, he employs a wide array of estate
planning strategies to successfully maintain wealth within families across generations. These designs both manage tax exposure
and create structures to foster healthy family dynamics. In matters involving closely held businesses, Matt's extensive experience
enables him to create practical succession plans that reflect the goals and aspirations of the owners, minimize potential tax
liabilities, and identify and address issues before they become problems.
Matt represents non-profit organizations -- from formation, through application for tax-exempt status, to legal issues presented
by ongoing operations. Non-profit organizations not only face the typical array of issues faced by any business, but also confront
complexities arising from their charitable status. As an attorney who represents both for-profit and non-profit businesses, Matt
is well suited to address these concerns.
Matt selectively represents beneficiaries and fiduciaries when disputes arise in connection with wills and trusts.
