A supermarket chain wanted to expand one of its smaller stores into a space in two adjacent buildings that shared common walls. Multiple issues-among them, different owners, insurance and liability concerns and covenants requiring approval of multiple parties-made the expansion seem impossible, or at least impractical. Socius lawyers helped the chain develop a strategy for the project. We successfully negotiated with the many interested parties and drafted the documents the expansion required. Today the space in the three buildings is operated as a seamless, integrated and highly successful supermarket.
